I hope you noticed I spelled grammar incorrectly.
The importance of writing with proper grammar and spelling is important in any writing project. It shows that you are professional about your writing. It shows you have taken the time to write correctly and consistently. Failing to check these may catch an intellectual subscriber’s eyes, dropping your subscriber numbers.
While this is considered a bit picky, American schools don’t lecture us through primary school about this for nothing. Your teachers catch your odd spellings and misuse of grammar, and you are docked points for this. Why shouldn’t your subscribers do any different?
Writing a blog, especially one you are monetizing, should always consider these aspects as very important. Writing a blog is turning out to be serious business, so be serious about it. Spell check, grammar check, and for good measure send the blog to be checked by someone else before publishing.
There are multiple resources for checking both of these. MS Word will run you through a basic spell and grammar check, but it can’t get specific. If you type “sea” but you meant “see,” Word will not tell you. Always read your blog posts through several times before publishing. I usually check through about 5 times. This also allows me to go back and keep my writing style fluid; I am able to add points I may have missed.
If you are unsure of grammar rules, I suggest you check out this grammar website. It is very thorough on the topic of English grammar.
